My first meal prepping session went amazing! Without a lot of planning, I went ahead and prepped my meals for the week with a « What do we have in the fridge method » Of course I will plan more ahead of time in later weeks, but for today this worked well.
I made my plan in a document on my laptop, as to the distribution of the containers I was allowed in the 21 Day Fix, and at what times I would be eating them.
Then I came up with what kinds of foods would represent each container depending on what I had available. (In the future I will plan my groceries around the containers instead)
In all the prep took about 2 hours, but this includes waiting for things to cook, and cleaning up afterwards, so only about an hour was spent actually chopping veggies, etc.
And here is the result!

- 5 Mid Morning Snacks
- 5 Lunches
- 5 Afternoon Snacks
All 21 Day Fix approved!
If you want to prep things like avocado and banana ahead of time, you are going to have to deal with some browning. Them’s the facts! So I have decided just to deal with it. I added lots of lemon juice to the avocado, and placed plastic wrap on both the avocado and banana half to reduce the amount they will brown, but it will happen and I am at peace with that! 😜
