The Road To a Better Me – The Make It My Year Plan Update!

I am officially in my second month of my plan, and I have learned a lot, about fitness, about nutrition and about myself. I have learned the strength of mind and body is not something you are just born with, it is however something you can work towards and achieve.

Of course when I word it like that, using the word Work, puts a lot of people off (that used to include myself). But since I can’t find a better word for it, how about we redefine the word ‘work’?

Here is the current definition according to Google:

Here is my suggestion for a new definition:

Work  /wərk/

Noun: An activity that when done with constancy and commitment, will produce desirable results!

Now does’t that sound better? I didn’t change it much, just adjusted my perspective and it now sounds like something I would very much like to do!

That is the main thought behind my « Make it my Year » Plan. Change my perspective, and flourish as a result! So far it is working quite well.

Here are some things I am using to help me be the best I can! 🙂

Fitbit: Tracks my sleep, exercise and daily activity

Drinking 2 litres of water per day! (All before 8pm, so I don’t get up at night!)

 Drinking a Health Shake for Breakfast (before working out)

Contain any or all of these ingredients depending on the day:

  • Vega protein powder
  • Ground flax seed
  • Kale
  • Pecans
  • Berries (of all kinds)
  • Almond milk
  • Soy Nut butter

I stopped drinking coffee all together and switch to a variety of green teas
